Deir el Bahri, Egypt. But I've posted a few others, including the astral ceiling with the goddess Nut, painted in Tutenkamen's tomb. Nut swallows the sun every night. The painting gave me chills; it was worth a trip to Egypt all by itself.David Apatoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11293486149879229016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12189014.post-62177531632565749992023-04-10T18:07:30.329-04:002023-04-10T18:07:30.329-04:00fascinating post!! if you're still active, do ...fascinating post!! if you're still active, do you have the link to the photo of the star ceiling in the Egyptian tomb? thank you!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02060156723119113830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12189014.post-43481830492949012322017-12-08T01:20:53.376-05:002017-12-08T01:20:53.376-05:00Loving your posts...Loving your posts...d-vallejohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12497355333292386186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12189014.post-72669374278110893882013-09-11T11:31:47.931-04:002013-09-11T11:31:47.931-04:00There is no substitute for good draftsmanship … it...There is no substitute for good draftsmanship … it will power you through any job, no matter the assignment.

Also, that other post about patterbing, excellent! Thanks for writing.

MORAN-- Fawcett is definitely not as easy as many other illustrators, but I do think he is worth the extra effort. To understand what he was doing, it helps to see details from the originals.

tozo/tonci-- Many thanks, I appreciate it.

Tom-- No, this was one of the real instructors at the Famous Artists School.
